I'm all packed up and ready to head north for year 4 on beautiful Lake Vermilion. I'm looking forward to fishing and making memories with each and every one of you!
Water temps are cool on the Big V, 41-44 degrees. Walleyes are still spawning. Males are milking. A jig and minnow is the quickest way to fill your livewell. 5-10 feet of water near sand and gravel areas are holding agressive walleyes. The smallmouth bass are beginning to push shallow. Try a Rapala Maverick in perch color for bass. The crappies are seeking out warm water bays. Look for them along weed edges, adjacent to spawning areas.
Good luck and see you on the water!
